static
If I'm exporting a character with a Mantra archive, do I need to specify the Material File parameter with a *.$F.ifd extension? Or can I just write out one ifd? I'm thinking I need to set it to $F since bounding info is stored on the ifd, and the bounding box will change if the object being archived is animated right? Thanks! rdg
IFDs store scene information for one frame. If you want to render an animation from IFDs you need to create one IFD per frame. Including a $F or $F4 in the filename is a common way for animations.
old school
Hence the meaning of ifd = Instantaneous Frame Description.
