watchman
hi, I'm looking for any sort of procedural solution to stamp various textures - from an image sequence - onto bunch of twosided planes/cards. Picture a deck of cards or a book. For example I got a sequence of 200 padded images representing the pages in a book. In SOPs I got a grid copied with the CopySOP 100 times. Now I want to use a single shader and stamp even texture index (or whatever is most appropriate) to every copy, and odd texture index numbers to backside of the same copy. I'm sure this is an elaborated problem (somebody must have tried to make a book in Houdini) but I searched and couldn't find anything useful here. If you can please give me a hint or point me into the right direction. I can't even make a simple texture varying stamping (forget about a twosidedness) over different copies. I found some examples here, but can't open them properly in H9. EXPRESSIONS + STRINGS == PROBLEM (for me) thanks
stevenong
Maybe this thread over at SESI forums might help. Try searching through odforum with "+sprite +texture" and SESI forum with "sprite AND texture" as the keywords and you'll get plenty of hits. Cheers! steven
