borisb2
Hi, I finally got a setup working for cracking a surface based on an image through trace-SOP.. the inner-prims are getting color through Attr-transfer and are added to a gravity-group once they are completely red in this case. This setup is working so far. It would be nice (and important) to define all the other outer prims that are still "static" or part of the wall as collision/static-RBD-objects. So I extracted the primitve-groups with another partition-node to be able to send just these prims to DOPS as a collision object. But somehow (even if the total number of primitives is the same in that branch, the side edges are missing and the active-RBD-objects are slipping into these surfaces. stevenong
How did you extrude the surface? Both the Extrude & PolyExtrude SOPs have options to create the side groups. You should either combine the front, side & back groups into one using the Group SOP's Combine tab or check to make sure the side group is included in your Connectivity and Partition SOPs setup. You can also post a hip file for us to look at. Cheers! steven
borisb2
Well, the active RBD-object is built correctly (with side-surfaces).. you can see the cracks in the first pic.. what crack_wall_test.hip
