particle fluid splash

Hello

i was trying to create a splash with partcle fluids. It is a simple setup with 2 spheres falling into a glass. I have the particle seperation set to 0.03 and and viscosity to 1.5 but i find that the 2 RBD spheres are bouncing off the surface off the particle fluid. to counter that i had to raise the density of the RBD objects to something like 12000 and even then they are not sinking perfectly in the particle fluid and the splash on the surface is barely a few drops.

i have pressure and viscosity forces turned on in the particle fluid solver but i feel im missing something to create the splash and /or atleast get

the spheres to sink correctly as in my shot i need to see see them go inside the water.

any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

thanks all !!
