static
I'm trying to set up a vistax64 machine for compiling. I set up all the environment variables and then some, all of which follow the 8.3 filename conventions, and proceeded to run a simple test on the good ol' SOP_Star.C that I dragged to a temp directory. Towards the end of the compile i found an error. Here's the result from my commandLineTools Welcome to the Houdini 10.0.267 command line tools. The Houdini environment has been initialized. edward
You must not have read HDKFrequentlyAskedQuestions. I'll quote the relevant portion for you. No other versions of the compiler other than the one that was used to build Houdini will work.
static
I read through the FAQ, guess I was foolish enough to think that H10 was built on a later version of VS. I'll try it with VS 2005.
