I think you need to multiply the output of your colormix with Cl from your Global Variables before connecting to the output.

How did I figure this out? Why, using H6, I right-clicked on the VEX Shadow SHOP and chose "Type Properties". Now switch to the VEX Code page. Voila! Instant revelation on how you're supposed to do a shadow shader. :)
