doc
up until recently I've been working with houdini 8 and a proprietary fluid system developed by my last employer. needless to say I've got some catching up to do now that I'm working in 10 and at a new company. at my old place of business we had a fulid sim that would take sdfs collison objects (say a character walking) and would create a velocity field based on how that character disturbed the sim (i think this is called a gas solver right?). We'd then advect our particles (in pops ) through the velocity field. While digging around houdini 10 I found the "advect by volumes pop" which looks like it would come in handy. But, what I'm having a little trouble finding is how to go about making the sim. most of the examples/shelf buttons seem to be dedicated to making fire or making liquid rather than making a turbulence field. can anyone point me in the right direction? tutorial, help pages, example file? If this was already brought up in another thread I apologize, just point me in the right direction and I'll get out of your hair Many thanks doc
