beeemtee
Hi, I'm wondering about how to achieve soft edges on square objects during render time (if it's possible at all). For this one needs to know the normals of neighboring primitives. Is this possible in shading context? If not: another approach could be to implement this in SOP. but that's also not seems trivial to me (at least on my level).. In this case it would create extra primitives very close to edges where softening is needed, and would consolidate the points. I use this to achieve a soft beveled look with minimal stress on the topology of the object, but manually setting this up on objects other than a box is prohibitively painful. Thanks in advance! bmt

beeemtee
Micro bevel? Thanks Simon! This is exactly what I'm after. Unfortunately it doesn't seems to work under H10. I posted the details to the original thread. bmt
