Dennis Sedov
I have a problem of a hip file growing in size over time. All I do in the scene is have file nodes loading bgeo and assigning materials and blasting some groups. Now my file has grown to almost a gig in size. I checked every single node - and I have no locks in there. What might be the problem?
Dennis Sedov
ok I deleted every single node in the hip file- and saved - it is stil 1gb in size
sam.h
I can't find the thread but there was something about a certain build doing this, opening the scene in a later build would fix the file for you. Maybe try getting the latest production build?
Dennis Sedov
Yep. Latest build fixed that for me. That was really funny seeing a file with no nodes of 1gb size =) I can't find the thread but there was something about a certain build doing this, opening the scene in a later build would fix the file for you. Maybe try getting the latest production build?
bhaveshpandey
yep that was a bug in the 295 build..the way around this was to copy paste the contents to a different instance of Houdini..The bug would cause "Save As" option to increase the file size.. There's already a thread on this out here.
