sharpie
Anybody have a replacement for mplay that works with Houdini? As I mentioned in the previous mplay post the thing is leaking like the boat in Perfect Storm.. Also, maybe someone would like to see if they can repro this by trying to do a test render with this tutorial scene file (attached). stage05_pinBoard.1.zip
MG
No problem for me... What OS (version), version of Houdini, videocard (latest drivers?) and kind of machine are you on? Because I generally don't have so much problems with mplay.
sharpie
Windows XP (Sp something or other), Houdini 6 apprentice, Radeon 9000 Mobile Fire GL (driver version 6.13.10.6320 from Compaq) all running on a Compaq Evo N800w.. Can you try the scene file itself and see if it happens to you? Because I trid the scene on another machine running Houdini 6 Apprenctice and the same thing happened. I'm starting to think it will only be repro'd with that scene.
MG
I've tried it! ("No problem for me..." ) It worked for me, strangely enough. And I was running it in Houdini 5.5!
sharpie
Yeah it works in Houdini 5.5 Apprenctice for me as well, thus I think there is a problem with 6.. Its making it impossible to use.. Grrr!! I dare you to try that file with 6 and see if mplay leaks...
MG
You could try reloading your HIPNC via hscript.
