Hi,
I want to be able to transform a Shape SOP so that it's directly overtop of a scene object.
My thought is to transform the scene object's location into camera space, and then use those coordinates but I can't figure out how to do that.
Does anyone know how to get a Shape SOP to track the movement of a scene object that was rendered?
Thanks,
Transform SOP node from scene object.

Sorry, meant to say COP nodes.
I still can't figure this out. I have to position some sprites over top of some objects in the scene. Can't figure out how to translate a point in the scene into a 2D screen location for compositing?
I did find that you can get the view transformation matrix from a viewport, but not directly from a camera.
Seems strange to me that this isn't easily done in Houdini.

Yeah, I do wish they'd add more support for camera matrices. But could you describe your problem with (edited) images or a hipfile perhaps? I'm having a hard time really understanding what you're after.

Getting the view transform from a viewport is the same as getting the world transform from your camera object.
I write python and break things.
