noise channel usage.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am using channel sop to import the noise data from the chops node..

And it keeps saying that it cant find tx0, ty0, and tz0..

I tried to check the example files in the help but I could not find it that matches my situation..

Here is the h9 file.

Thanks!

Lots of issues here:

If you MMB on your CHOP node, you'll see you've named your CHOP "chan0". You need to make 3 CHOP channels called tx/ty/tz. Also if you have "Animated" checked on your Channel SOP, it'll look for a channel per point, appending the point number to the channel.

Thanks for the reply!

I found that problem with MMB but I was curious about how do I fix it to use the noise value as sin function.

I did it with attribcreate sop and put "chopcf("/obj/geo1/chopnet1/sin_instead",0,$F)" in the value with the float type.

"sin_instead" is just a name of the noise chop in the chop network of my scene.

Its working for this way, but I am not sure is this the right way to use chop data..
