  1. I've been having a couple issue with licensing where Houdini (Non-commercial) doesn't want to open (Houdini was working fine days ago, just stopped opening recently). Running Houdini after starting PC opens up the license install dialog box. Upon accepting, it would hang for some minutes then the prompt to run Houdini opens up (supposedly having installed the license). After accepting to run Houdini it never opens (however the task still appears in background processes in task manager). If I were to open Houdini after this initial attempt without restarting Houdini would just open to the background processes in task manager, no program shows up. Maybe a related issue/cause is the Licensing Manager upon opening practically always gives a "timeout was reached" error (also being stuck for some minutes while connecting). When I change licensing server it would freeze every time and nothing else happens. The only (temporary) solution i have found was to reinstall Houdini (as admin) and it would work fine until the PC is restarted. Then it goes back to the issues mentioned above.
