The Embassy VFX is a Canadian, Oscar-nominated production house, specializing in live-action production, post-production, and animation for feature films & commercials. We are currently looking for a Modelling / Asset Generalist to join our team for work on upcoming feature and commercial work. We require an artist who is able to work in a fast-paced environment to deliver an extremely high level of work. Meet project milestones and deadlines on time. Collaborate with other artists to share knowledge and techniques. Requirements Keen eye for creating realistic models. Ideal candidate will be strong in modelling, UV creation and texturing and also be skilled in at least one other area of VFX. Ability to create both hard surface and organic models. Software experience with Maya or Modo, Zbrush, Photoshop and Mari. Ability to take direction positively, work well within a team and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years industry experience in commercials, film or TV. Strong understanding of multiple aspects of the VFX pipeline. I won't bother you with copy-pasted boiler plate text about the position. Basically I'm looking for my replacement here at Encore Vancouver doing 3D for TV. It's for a particle/sim/FX leaning 3D generalist, or fully 3D Maya generalist. Houdini is available (and what I normally use). It's mainly a Maya shop, but FBX and Alembic are in steady use. Don't be shy we have several newbs here and a relaxed atmosphere, but the work is varied and fun.
