multiTex

Hi everyone,

I originally asked a question about how to go about doing a 3d multi texture projection here. After some discussion and example files, i've implemented my beginning tests of it. i'm uploading a folder with the "multiTex" vop and the "MultiTex" material...

The material does not have anything really yet, since i'm still just learning about how to create materials but as time goes by i'll be working to get this as a fully functioning material. In reality, this was just an attempt to be able to get a 3d multi texture projection that could blend between axis.

For now, i've included a test scene, with two free textures of brick, one for color and the other for displacement...

I'd love to get feedback and also for help since i'm aware this isn't fully working yet. *i don't think i have the displacement working correctly, and i don't think it's communicating with the surface color that well" meaning if i change the displacement, then the color doesn't seem to match it... just slowly figuring out how to get these things to talk with one another.

So anyways, cheers, and hope you can make some use out of it!

Thanks,

Jonathan

oh and btw, i posted a topic just now in the SESI forums about how to approach creating a material for a painted brick wall, with cracked/chipped paint, occlusion driven dust, and dirt... all with proper displacement. Without making this a cross forum post, i'll simply supply the link. Anyways, the multiTex is my beginning approach at the brick!
