point based occlusion not working can anybody help me the workflow for

Im using the sss scatter sop to get the point cloud data and then calling the point cloud file into the shader... But my occlusion is not working...

Im looking for the following effects..

Point based occlusion

Point based color bleed...

can anybody help me..

There's a master-class or something of that sort about pointclouds on the Houdini Exchange. I believe it comes with several HIP's using various point-based VOP networks.

Also, I wouldn't use the SSS Scatter SOP unless you're rendering SSS. You can use the normal scatter SOP followed by a ROP Output driver (in SOPS) to save a .pc file. Any BGEO will work though.

O dear, dear,

Mantra doesn't support point based occlusion nor color bleeding (at least non of built-in solution). Point clouds can be used to accelerate ray trace gi effects, but from my experience I can tell, default irradiance cache does better job for it.
