metaballs rendering

Hello,

I'm rendering my particles scene imported from Maya.

I render the particles as metaballs.

When I render few particles I have a good rendering ( see finale.0004.jpg )but when I render the whole scene the rendering is sooo bad! ( see test.jpg ) I see the metaballs, then I decrease the fog density but nothing.

Then I play with metaballs weight and and density threshold in metacloud but no lucky again. I attach the hip file.

Can anyone help me please?

Hi,

Vex Meta Cloud + Vex 3D texture fog.

When I render few particles ( as metaballs ) I have a nice rendering.

But when I try to render the whole scene imported from Maya I have very

bad rendering, look the first pic! Bah

Maybe it is the scale, I'm trying to fix it but no lucky.

Any helps-suggestions?

Thanks, it's similair to what I did, hmmm.... I'll check it out! :)

And why would you want to render it with the Maya renderer? Don't most studios use RenderMan or mental ray instead of it?
