sabotage
Hello guys sorry if the question is noobish but is there a way to speed up rendering of smoke in mantra or any alternative render that can render smoke in houdini thanks. woodenduck
Not exactly sure what you are after or what you have already tried but a few things to bare in mind when rendering smoke (if speed is your main concern): 1. Micropoly rendering with depth map shadows will be much quicker than ray tracing. 2. Increase the smoke density on the shader. 3. You can try reducing the 'volume quality' and 'volume shadow quality' on the mantra node (properties/sampling)
