If you compare it with the diffuse from the Lambert node, it doesn't even come close. Because you used the shadow node I thought of using the color of the light which then gave me a pretty good diffuse. With this setup I get a clean diffuse and used the shadow node seperatly for a seperate shadow pass. What do you think?
