RonensArt
Hi all, I am simulating a Mine Explosion on a dusty area. I am setting up a Particle Simulation with some PSCALE, Density, and MASS Attributes based on the LIFE of each particle and transferring those attributes to DOPs with Gas Particle to Field DOP and a multi solver in order to get Density attribute to affect the smoke emitting. Than Those POP's are used as a source to a Smoke Object and a Smoke Solver. After simulating Low_Res, an Upres Solver was added to the simulation to add some more details. I keep on simulating more options for now, Before getting on the rendering side. mightcouldb1
I think that the smoke stops moving too abruptly. It should have a smoother transition as the velocity begins to decrease and the smoke begins to rise. I'm not sure what the scale is for the sim, but I would think that it would be moving a little faster since a land mine doesn't create that large of an explosion. This one doesn't show any smoke, but is definitely worth a watch.
RonensArt
Thank you Jason, Those are some cool youtubes. But I am going to stick to the live footage Reference I got. The Scale is approximately 25 meters high, In this clip I added some vortices with tiny magnitude to the simulation, As well I pumped up the Particles Velocity a bit after POPs and Before DOPs. Also Increased a bit Buoyancy & Viscosity. Mine_UP_Res_V2.mov I would like to make the rise of the smoke happen faster in time but the smoke shouldn't go that fast. is there any way of Limit speed of the smoke? like sort of a speed limit POP? Best, Ronen.
Pazuzu
Hi!! You can use a Gas VOP to modify your velocity field.
