Since I am regular Softimage user (around 5 years now), I would like to ask if anyone of you folks is using Houdini with Softimage 2010/2011 in some effective way. anim Posted August 14, 2010 Share Posted August 14, 2010 it all depends on what you want to use them for but you can transfer models through obj, fbx cameras through fbx pointcaches through mdd there are some scripts on SI side for importing channel data you can further use python to connect them more i am using both and they can communicate well at least for my needs maybe if you provide more info on what type of pipeline you need to create i can help you more you can PM me in slovak if you want Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I don't have any specific pipeline on mind, I was just curious what are the common reasons for using both apps on a single project. It looks like personal taste for certain workflow to me so far.
