stamping particles in Mantra?

Hi.

Is it possible to stamp/instance particles at rendertime? Kind of like multipoints in maya but not created in the viewport. So far I was playing around with using the copy-SOP for the points - but the viewport gets heavy of course.

I guess krakatoa uses exactly that workflow - so maybe theres a quick python script or something similar for houdini?
