DaJuice
Hi guys, I'm almost finished modeling a character which I intend to animate. I made a preliminary rig just to test if the geometry deforms ok. I used IK for the legs and NK for everything else. Is that ok for a final rig or is it better to give the torso and arms FK or IK as well? The character needs to be able to throw fireballs, sorta the way you would throw a baseball, but with the arms swinging sideways more as opposed to over the shoulder. I think I might run into gimbal lock with a situation like that, but I'm not sure. I still have a bit of modeling left to do, so I thought I would get your opinions before considering the final rig. Thanks.
edward
Perhaps you can still make the arms IK as you can easily blend them between IK/NK.
DaJuice
Ah yes, forgot about that. That would be good, since I prefer to work with rotations, but could fall back on IK if need be. Thanks for the suggestion.
