How to use attributes in Trail SOP?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

A Happy New Year!

I got a problem with using attribute $ID from POP in Trail SOP.

The Trail SOP is simply connected to POP and I can see the attributes for each particles in details view.

However, I can't use them as local variable in the Trail SOP...

Anyone knows good solution for that?

Thanks.

Hiro

the trail does not support local variables but You can splitt particles as trails from Your particles leaving a point trail, and by setting the right lifetime it would work. in sop You can now use the add sop to connect them by the parent attribute

have a look at the demofile :)

Hi Javier,

Thanks for replying.

What I want to do is using particle id for length of trail in Trail SOP.

I attached a file.

If you don't mind, please have a look.

Thank you so much :D
