Cartoon Shader for Effects or Fluids?

I'm trying to make a fire effect look like cartoon (or toon for short). Does anyone know how can this be done?

look up npr, non photoreal render, on odforce, or toon, cartoon shader. A friend showed by the tag word of npr after I wasted a day or two on that before.

The simplest vop node is the two tone shader, it's almost better to use a lighting model with constant color changes for more control. You can use a shadow matte, to matte out the real shadow and swap it out. There are a bunch more ways to do it from writing your own light and shadow shaders, and copying game engine shaders to create a toon. It really depends on what "style" you are going for in the toon department.
