athomas Posted August 28, 2003 Share Posted August 28, 2003 I have a problem with a water shader. I'm trying to do everything in VOP's. I'm displacing a basic grid and want to add foam to the waves based on the height of the waves. Now how can I get my height from the displacement into the surface shader and then compare this with a given value, say if waves are heigher then 2 create foam. The if then loop doesn't seem to do it for me (using two if VOP's). Also is there a similar function in VOP's to the step function from renderman?
