Texture maps for paint SOP?

Hey guys,

I'm creating a scene where a number of a buildings need to crack, break up and collapse.

I've been using the paint SOP to dictate where I'd like the cracks to occur and the shapes I'd like to make when the chunks of wall separate.

However, I'm finding this to be not as accurate as I'd like, and I was wondering if there was a way to make some kind of map outside of the Houdini (say in Photoshop), import it in and use that instead.

Would I need to input it into the paint SOP at all?

Or can I somehow group by colour according to the colours on the map?
