lestdog
I was doing a tutorial from the sideFX site called rocket ship and I'm having problems when it asked to use a profile SOP from the trimed surface in the ships hull.. Then it asks to make a circle and use that circle as the input to a sweep SOP.. I made the sweep and looked good but It's strange because eventhough it looks fine in the unrendered pane when I render it, it looks all blobby.. anyone know what this is?? Thanks! George
Hi lestdog, The first thing that comes to mind is an unintentional shader. Do you have any shaders assigned? Check both the SOP and the OBJ levels. Hope that helps.
anakin78z
Try this: in the display settings of the viewport, turn up the level of detail, and check if your geometry starts looking more like the render. Chances are that the nurbs are kinda doing their thing and you're just not seeing it in the viewport.
Marc
Could you post a screenshot of what it looks like pre-render? Wireframe and shaded too please.. Thanks Marc
