chrisperry05 Posted March 14, 2011 Share Posted March 14, 2011 Hi, I want to create some twirling ribbons from some particles but can't seem to get it working properly. I'm using the trail example from the help files and have added some angular velocity to the particles to get them to spin. I've tried using the sweep sop but the cross section always stays pointing in the same direction i guess because this is what it's meant to do. I've also tried using a copy sop and then skinning it, this kind of works but only if you group the particles and then have a seperate copy sop and skin sop for each group, unfortunately i want to have lots of trails so this isn't really a viable option. I think Peter Claes tutorial on particles addresses something similar, if I understood correctly your idea!
