Emit split particle based on $LIFE?

Hello guys

I have little problem with some kind of fireworks. But this technique should be use in others scenes. I found that emmiting particles should be driven by birth propability, in source for example by $CR. I need trail particles by split pop, which bird is driven by $LIFE of source particle. I cant use $LIFE in birth probability and if I colour source particle base on $LIFE, and use for example $CR, error. I want something like when source particle daying, trails has less and less particles to zero based on $LIFE. Hope make this sence little bit (: Thanks a lot B.C.
