compiling .vfl into .slc, .slo on the fly

Recommended Posts

This looks like a silly question but ...

Is there a way to easily translate VEX (.vfl) shaders into .sl shaders (or compile them

directly to slc, slo ...) because the VEX and sl languages are very very similar ( a few functions to rename ) and it would be nice to visually build renderman shader networks.

The integration between renderman and Houdini would be perfect.

Does such a tool exist? ("a vfl parser")

thx for help!
