smaugthewyrm
as seen in the upper right corner, houdini seems to insist on creating a line where the art has none. when using a true type font, you at least have a 'hole' checkbox to remove that line. with original artwork, i have not found a solution yet. i will however try 2 separate ai files. one is the outsides one is the insides. extrude both and then use a cookie sop to cut out the holes. maybe that will work. lol. smaugthewyrm
e-gads it takes a lot of work to bevel illustrator shapes. that thread was very interesting. i've downloaded the hip/nc shares so now i've got a bit to check out. one bit i've noticed on the extrude sop, when using a profile for beveling, turn off "fuse points". i've installed H11.1.02 last night so it maybe some of these issues have been addressed.
