Houdini Apprentice Issue

Hi guys,How are you?

I'm new here...and so excited to learn Houdini.I have just one a question about "Houdini Apprentice-Free".I've installed it on my Pc...So, do I need to be online each time I launch Houdini? and if so...does there any other way I can launch it without internet..required?

You need to be online only to activate apprentice license.

For me it works also when im offline ( I have houdini apprentice free on PC without internet acces and it works fine)

Thanks Tom, the matter is each time I launch Houdini it requests internet connection..although I did it online for the first time I've launched it....but when I re-launch it again will request connection too.

So, I guess I will give it a try about getting the keys for offline activation.

Houdini uses a bunch of TCP/IP ports for inter-process communication, including the help system. It's not communicating with the sidefx server, but to other processes on your local computer. You should always allow those popups for Houdini processes.
