spev
why does attenuation on the glass material not seem to work with pbr. I have tried with micropolygon and it works but if I switch renderer to PBR it does not work anymore.. It has been about 2.5 years since I last used Houdini and boy a lot has changed for the better but I am probably missing something. Any help would be gratefully recieved. I got the basic liquid shader in my scene of the sidefx forum...cannot remember the user to credit...sorry...as a comparison to the glass material... neither seems to work under pbr. dennis.albus
Unfortunately attenuation does not currently work with PBR. You would have to create a shader that fakes this effect or stick to Raytracing or Micropolygon. I really hope this will get included into Houdini 12 as well as dispersion. Take a look a this thread: PBR Attenuation Hack -dennis
