ehsan parizi
Hi, I'm trying to parent my camera to a simulated rbd, I thought parenting in obj level will work, but looks like it just reads the transform info in obj level. Then I tried appending a dopimport sop inside the camera node's xform sop, it kinda does move the camera, but only the camera icon! So, these are my questions : 1. How can I parent my camera to an object that is moving in sop level? 2. Is there any way to get the transform info from dop import or any other transform sop in object level? I was thinking if I can export that info to a null, then I can use the simple parenting in obj level! 3. What does that transform sop inside camera do? apparently nothing special!

Point a RivetOBJ to the point/points/point_group on Sop and parent camera to it. 2. Same as 1. 3. It scales the icon. hth, skk.

symek
Actually it does. More than a single point of reference allow it to compute rotation frame. There is also an option to compute rotation from attributes, like up and N.
