Get frame in vops

I am making a vop shader and I need to access the frame to control the string of a point cloud (I want to open the current frame out of pc files.) Tried using constant, parameter, and shading time global with a print node but it always says it can't be dependent on time.

Make a parameter on the shader node, set a $F expression on it, and read the value of the parameter in your shader code.
