giumun
hi the best way to bring down one thousand RBD object? I would drop one thousand RBD objetc and fill a container with these. I want that there are 5 different types of RBD objects. Now I'm using ODE solver to make faster the simulation exist on houdini some type of rbd emitter, or can I use the point of pop emitter and use it on RBD point. and how can I give 5 differents geo on it (i don't find any stamp function on it like in copy node) I know there are many ways to achieve this effect, but what is the best way considering the fact that there are a thousand objects. thanks to all
Rudinie
Have a look at the RBD point object.
giumun
I already tried to use rbd point object but there is no way to get 5 different geometry with rbd point (OR I DO NOT KNOW HOW) on copy node you have the possibility con control it with the stamp function! i don't find nothing about it on rbd point. I think it's better to find a way to don't have a thousand of object from the first frame. I think it's better to have something like an emitter, in order to have a faster simulation tx
symek
(OR I DO NOT KNOW HOW) Check out RBD Point Object and its parameter "Geometry Path". Second to that is a menu: Use Point Value/Override Point Value. This is a place you can select a method for peaking up an objects. The first choice will use "instance" point attribute to select geometry. Add a PointSOP to your points geometry, and select "Add Instance" from the Partice Tab. Use some expression to select one of five of your objects (like: /obj/geo`$PT%5` to select geo0, geo1, geo2 etc. )
