edward
Ok, that metaball thing just started me on an OTL binge. So here's the long sought after object-level shapes library. If anyone wants to make icons for them, then it would be complete enough to submit to the odforce codex section. (Again, probably requires 6.1.175 or above and it's a non-commercial OTL (for now)) OBJshapes.zip
michael
cool ed, thanks... but wouldn't it be better to make a "primitive" OTL - like the Platonic Solids SOP?...throw one down and then in the controls choose your primitive type, that way there are fewer ops in the menu... edward
Someone from package XYZ would complain that they can't find the Sphere object in the menu. It actually turned out to be quite easy to make your own custom objects without an additional sublayer (minus the one bug I found while making these). Steps were: - In Op Type Manager, click on the "Path" object and right-click on it. Choose Copy... to make a copy of it into a new OTL file. Rename op type and label as desired. - Put down a new instance of your custom object - Edit it to the way you like it - Right-click on the object and choose Type Properities. - Delete the Auto-Archive parm in the Properties page (bug, should not need to) - On the first page, turn off "Save contents as locked" - Hit Accept. After that, I created ones by copying out previous custom objects.
