Very slow Paint SOP in H12

Hi

In H11 it is smooth and fast but in H12 painting anything, even simple grid, is choppy and you got the feeling like you paint 20 milion polygon geometry. I though that this was because Houdini was new and not everything is optimized but now, after 2 months nothing has changed. Does anyone else experienced similar problems ?

I'm using H11 viewport mode all the time. But just tested other modes and it does work smoother. But still H11 (the original H11 :)) works better. And switching modes just to have paintSOP working better is not the prefered workflow I would like to have.

for me gl3.2 is much faster for painting than h11 viewport all in h12, but unfortunatley is is quite unstable. the h11 viewport is much slower than it was in 11.0.834 but more stable, though it is getting better with each release

right now it seems h11 viewport mode is not maintained anymore and the newer once are not yet there where they should be in terms of stability and features (especially markers)

just my experience with this, on pro and consumercards

I recorded both H11 and H12. H11 seems a little faster or maybe it's because of how the model is displayed. But it did freeze everytime I released the LMB. Also seems to hang when I am selecting different operators. Maybe H11.1.201 is not a very good release :)

But H12 seems to be much more responsive all around with the paint.

Well, it looks that H11 mode in build 602 fixed my problems by not working AT ALL :D. If I load any project saved in my previous build all I got is blank screen. No visible geometry. I have to switch to GL modes to see anything.
