instancing and path object

Recommended Posts

I've got a geo object that's a just a path. Then I'm using that in an INstance object to create a series of copies of another object. Works fine.

Now in a Null object (object context), I want to use the same geo object for the Null's Path object. When I do this, suddenly the instanced object goes hay wire and appears to mirror itself?! When I change the Postion on the Null, the instance'd objects actually change. Have I done something wrong, or is this a bug, or is there something else I'm missing? I've attached an example file that demos this.

Ultimately what I'm trying to do is use a path that creates a hallway and a repeating series of arch like objects along the path the hallway. Then I want to set up a series of nulls which a camera is then attached to such that the top null follows the path, allowing me to move through the hallway smoothly.
