Applying shader / texture to small area of object

Hi all,

I am wondering how I can map a graphic i create in photoshop onto an area of my model. I want to put a face on a lego man but want to apply it to a small square section on the rounded head (i.e. select a small surface area from the whole area).

When I have tried before it still applies it to the whole of the head as opposed to the small section.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

There are several ways, as always with H.

First you can apply a UVproject SOP and size it to the area you like, or you could create a group SOP with the area you want the shader to be in and apply a UVtexture SOP to the group and a different UVtexture to the rest of the model.
