Fracture rendering question ?

Hollo everybody .

I've little problem About Shattered objects Rendering , I used Maya create Model and then use Houdini Shatter it, after I want to render it … But their I didn't understand some things : if I export the shatter object to Maya And then give it material or first we give it material after shatter it ?? .. shattered After the UV is very complicated so what can I do? please help….

usually you create UVs and Rest for it then shatter

meanwhile you can paint textures, it doesn't matter that much since UVs are done

then just assign material to shattered geo and maybe something else, like procedural texture to inside faces since they will not have UVs but Rest should be interpolated correctly
