jeanmarc
Hi, What is the workflow to transfer UV between 2 objects (from 1st objetc at frame 1 to 2nd object globally) Thanks for any help jm
old school
The main operator is the Attribute Transfer SOP which requires the source and target to have similar shapes. The closer the better. There are a great many ways to map an attribute from one geometry source to another. If you can be more specific as to what you are up to, that would help a lot. kgoossens
I also often use a ray sop for this. but like mentioned above an example scene or more detailed description could be very helpful.
jeanmarc
thanks for your very fast replies!!!! here are 2 pictures illustrating the problem: the first one is at frame 1 while the 2nd at frame 20, the uv's are swimming animation is based on the same curves that are used to model the object, thus the object is already moving before i can apply uv's on it ... also i need to have dynamic uv because this asset can have different structure i have thought about attrCopy, but i cant see any uv in this node . jm
kgoossens
I don't know if this would be sufficient in this case. But from what I can see you could use bbox expressions in your uvproject to make it fit at all times? But it is still hard to tell what I would do just relying on the images you have posted. Can you sent the scene?
