magneto
Hi, I want to assign shortcuts to some of my most frequently used operators, so if I press F2, it will act as if I brought up the tab menu and then typed AttribCreate and then pressed Enter, leaving the operator attached to my cursor in the network editor for me to place it anywhere. Is this doable? If not, then maybe dropping it somewhere inside the network editor? Thanks
dbukovec
hi! drag and drop an operator to a shelf, right click on it, edit tool, and there you will see a Hotkeys tab, there you can assign the hotkey for it (network pane) Edited October 25, 2012 by dbukovec
magneto
Thanks, I just tried it but when I click Edit Hotkey (network pane), it doesn't let me assign anything, the right side panel seems disabled. Also how would this work with asset versions? For example AttribCreate is currently at 2.0. If I use that and then later SESI adds 3.0, would the shelf button create 3.0 or be stuck at 2.0? dbukovec
press the edit button, then click on the empty field (usually twice) until you see Press a key text
magneto
Thanks Daniel. I tried it on Sticky tool on the shelf and there it works because when I click the edit hotkey button on that, it selects it in the middle treeview. But my attribcreate that's automatically created is not selected, because it doesn't show up in the middle treeview. Try it on attribcreate like me and you should see the same issue
