SoftVision
Hi there. I'm trying to generate some mountains on a grid. I created a geometry node. Within it I created and connected a mountain node to a grid node but the result in the viewport looks the same. No mountains appear. I'm running Houdini 12.1 on a Macbook Pro (Retina). Specs: 2.6 Ghz i7 quad-core, 8 GB RAM, 1 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M. I tried changing the renderer from GL 2.2 to H11 and GL 2.1 but that didn't work. I downgraded to Houdini 12.0 but that didn't work either. Any ideas?
Erik_JE
Post your hip file. But from your brief description you should not connect mountain to the grid but instead connect the grid to the mountain.
SoftVision
I've attached my hip file. Is there some sort of display toggle that might be disabled right now? mtn.hipnc
Annon
I haven't looked at your scene, but I imagine you need normals. add a point node and set normals to 0, 1, 0 or a facet node with computer normals on. Mountain sop should work then.

Checked your scene and all you need to do is put the display flag on the mountain node. Left mouse on the far right of the mountain node or select it and press 1 on your keyboard.
