pyrochlore
Hi all, I have a wire simulation done already and want to transfer the dynamic (velocity, force ...) to a set of points (or another set of wires) and make them move naturally (maybe following the nearest point in wire simulation). I know Houdini has powerful DOPs, but I don't know where to start (which DOP to use?). Please give me some suggestion. Thanks. sanostol
hi, if You want to use the wiresim to deform another geometry(set of wires) without using dops You can use the wireCapture/wireDeformSOP setup. the simulated wires are used as kind of cage for deformation Martin
pyrochlore
Hi, Thanks to Martin. I think DOPs will be more controllable in my case. I will try to use SOP Solver to update the position of points based on the velocity transferred from wires.
