atrytone Posted April 15, 2013 Share Posted April 15, 2013 I am trying to create an effect of grass and dirt flying up from the rear of a car tire as it fish-tails around a corner. I am not sure the best approach to achieve a real looking result. Best to just simply stay in pops or do you think a dop simulation would be required. The car is rather small in frame. Akabane Posted April 16, 2013 Share Posted April 16, 2013 If there's no dust but it's only dirt and grass, I'd go super easy with pops and wires for the leafblades if you want to be super cool, otherwise just a particle with a bent line (maybe counteracting the particle's own vel so it bends 'correctly') would easily do, if the car is far. For the dirt, just throw a bunch of particles around that move in a decent way, add rotation to them, and instance small pieces of geo to it (or even other bunch of particles) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
