Waasha
Hello everyone, I have a question abou caching in houdini 12.5 I have a pyro smoke-only simulation (car tyre drift smoke) and I cached it using the Dop I/O node in the automaticaly created "import_pyro_build" geo node. in the Export to file tab I filled the Start/End frames and I rendered the bgeo files. Then I switched on the "Load from disk" checker and put both the display and render flag on the import_pyrofields Dop I/O. Now I see the smoke, but it's much less dense than it was when i visualised the living simulation, because I had the the AutoDopNetwork Smoke Object's MultiField Density visualisation scale set to 4. Is there a way to control the visualisation of density (and other fields) of the cached data? And am I caching and reading the data right this way? Thank you very much for any advice! Bye! bloomendale
If you want to remap fields only for visualization then you can use Volume Visualization SOP or Primitive SOP (Volume tab). Or you can use Volume Ramp SOP or some math in Volume Mix SOP, Volume VOP SOP etc to actually alter volume data.
Waasha
Thank you VERY much for your quick answer, I used the Volume Visualization SOP and it works like a charm.. Didn't realize I can connect it right after the import_pyrofields Dop I/O, just enter density field and use a scale of 4 Thank you! Bye.
