kleer001
I've got some fluid work to do and the old familar setup is gone and replaced with what I assume to be a better rig. But how does it all work? I'll dive into it, of course, and I bet it's pretty straight-forward and logical. But I just wanted to start a discussion about it, or at least look like a dummy again. Annon
Same setup to the end user pretty much. If you're on about shelf tools and not the inner workings, just click the buttons and see what they do.
kleer001
Not a fan of the shelf tools then? I think they're great. They save me time and reflect the hard work and dedication of the sidefx team to a high quality product.
Solitude
If you're coming from 11 there are a lot of differences, but 12.5 is the same workflow as h12. I usually start with the shelf tools and go from there. They have added a nice whitewater setup though. No longer have to create and use my own otls for that. If you're used to h11, basically the difference is sourcing, and no more pop net. It's too slow for a big flip sim. You should try your best to use sop solver and other gas micro solvers if you need to work with the points.
