echo to windows terminal prompt

Hello,

So I am using stock windows 64, with out cygwin, and via a desk top shortcut. Glorious I know, but was wondering how to echo too the error window that pops up, or when using Alfred style progress on a rop. Want to do a series of percent completes on renders, plus time stats, and maybe even output to a log, but not sure how to do the echo part on windows.

Hi, I bumped into this thread and I have exactly the same problem.

I did setup houdini in cygwin but I don´t get the feedback on renders and errors like in Linux did you make it work?

Been seeing our programmer using the print command with python a lot, and it pops up that darn window all the time now, but as far as stock Alfred on a rop or hscript no dice. Stopped needing to render so haven't looked into it for a while, but guessing in h13 if i converted all my scripts to python it may work.... Just got 

print "Hello World";

 to work as a shelf button with python, so guessing via python no problem.
